Program

We're happy to share the schedule of sessions for the International Conference on the Constructed Environment. We update the schedule on a weekly basis, so please make sure to check back regularly, as the schedule is subject to change. If you've recently registered but are not yet scheduled, your presentation should appear here within the next week. Because this is a draft schedule, you may be the only paper currently in your session; don't be concerned—we'll include more papers as we update the schedule.

If you have any issues locating your presentation in the event schedule, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Special Focus & Annual Themes

The Constructed Environment Research Network is brought together by a common shared interest in human configurations of the environment and the interactions among the constructed, social and natural environments. We seek to build an epistemic community where we can make linkages across disciplinary, geographic, and cultural boundaries. As a Research Network, we are defined by our scope and concerns and motivated to build strategies for action framed by our shared themes and tensions.

The Sixteenth International Conference on The Constructed Environment calls for research addressing the following annual themes and special focus:

  • 2026 Special Focus—From the Home to the City: Designing Spatial Experiences
  • Theme 1: The Design of Space and Place
  • Theme 2: Constructing the Environment
  • Theme 3: Environmental Impacts
  • Theme 4: Social Impacts

Plenary Speakers

The Sixteenth International Conference on The Constructed Environment will feature plenary sessions by some of the world’s leading thinkers and innovators in the field.
